My research focuses on the potential of salivary lactate as a non-invasive marker of exercise intensity and physiological responses to exercise. As part of my PhD project, I investigate the relationship between blood and salivary lactate as a result of exercise and explore physiological and methodological factors that may influence this relationship. As an external PhD student embedded in an industry-driven innovation project, I work at the interface between academia and industry, combining fundamental research with the development of practical monitoring solutions.
