I joined the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Basel in 2025 as part of my Master’s thesis in Medical Informatics. My previous professional experience in healthcare finance and administration and as the founder of a company in the orthopaedic products sector led me to explore how digital solutions can be applied to healthcare. My current work focuses on artificial intelligence, computer vision, and data analysis for musculoskeletal ultrasound. I developed deepPatella, an automated tool that tracks the patellar tendon insertions and quantifies tendon elongation and stiffness. I also contribute to UMUD, the Universal Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Database.
